Shakira’s Madrid residency delivered another huge surprise when Dua Lipa stepped onto the stage for an unexpected duet with the Colombian superstar.
The moment happened on October 3 during the eighth night of Shakira’s Madrid run at the specially built Estadio Shakira inside the Iberdrola Music complex. Instead of choosing one of Shakira’s recent hits, the two stars went back more than three decades for an intimate performance of “Antología.”
Shakira and Dua Lipa Finally Share the Stage
Before welcoming her guest, Shakira told the crowd how much the song meant to her and praised Dua Lipa as an artist she personally admires. Moments later, Dua walked onto the stage and the two embraced before beginning the acoustic performance.
It marked the first time Shakira and Dua Lipa had ever performed together live, creating one of the standout moments of the Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour.
The Story Behind “Antología”
The collaboration had been building for almost a year. During her Radical Optimism Tour stop in Bogotá in November 2025, Dua Lipa surprised Colombian fans by performing “Antología” in Spanish with acoustic guitar.
Shakira later praised the performance, making the Madrid reunion feel like the natural next chapter. This time, instead of one superstar paying tribute to another, they were standing side by side.
Released on Shakira’s 1995 album Pies Descalzos, “Antología” remains one of the most beloved songs from the early years of her career. More than 30 years later, the ballad found a new moment in the spotlight with one of today’s biggest pop stars joining her on stage.
